Bulgakov Museum in Kiev – a review of the tour, the price and is it worth going there?

Bulgakov Museum – the house in which Bulgakov lived, converted into a museum, is located on Andreevsky Descent, near the Kontraktovaya Ploshchad metro station.

Information about the Bulgakov Museum

If you want to go to the Bulgakov Museum, be sure to first visit the official website of the museum!

Firstly, you can visit the museum only by appointment (although you can probably come and get on the tour anyway, the main thing is that the time would coincide)! And in the second, it does not work every day and there are days off.

The price of the tour and what it includes

The price at the end of 2014 was 40 UAH per person. The tour lasts 30-40 minutes. You pre-register by phone, come at the appointed time – excursions every hour goes. Then 5 minutes of waiting and you are led to the house of Bulgakov and told how he lived here and what characters from his books were invented here.

The house is small, the rooms there are also not large. Many objects have been restored, so they are painted white. And the original objects are of the usual color. In general, the excursion is not bad. At the end, you will be shown a magic mirror. When the light is off, it's glass :-).

And yet, to the mirror – you will have to go through the cabinet, which is also quite unusual.

In general, we did not regret that we gave 40 UAH for an excursion to the museum.

Near the museum by the way you can drink Bulgakov tea :-).

And here is a video of Bulgakov's house inside: What else can you go to the Bulgakov Museum

Every month, on the 13th, Bulgakov's evenings are held in the museum.

Entrance price – 150 UAH. For this money you get 2 hours of music and a buffet (with champagne and cognac).

Perhaps we will soon go to such an evening and describe our impressions.
